Table Level Database Design

With the Database Designer, you are able to run a comprehensive and query-specific design at and above the schema with optional sample queries. You can also run a design at the table level.

This is accomplished by first selecting Query-specific or Incremental (7.0+) design type in Database Designer.

During schema selection, the schema containing the table should be checked. After selecting design options, provide a file that contains a SELECT * for the table:

The Database Designer will perform a storage level optimization of the table.

If this table participates in JOINs with other tables in that schema, you may want to perform a comprehensive design against the schema and pass it queries that process those JOINs.
